Since the pictures started moving, the White Horse Inn has had a leading role in the movie world. It started in 1926 with a black and white silent movie, which had the Inn's piano player creating the sound. Legendary is also of course the 1960s movie with Peter Alexander and Waltraud Haas. Another extremely successful film: "Days like these", was produced in 2003, and won the award for best European Tourism Advertising Movie at the Film Festival Grand Prix CIFFT.

The most important facts at a glance:
- Who can enter the movie competition? Everyone, there are no age limitations
- What are the requirements? A digital, movie production about the White Horse Inn, no matter if its animation, cartoon or short movie: no matter if its holiday memories or future vision. Keep in mind though that everything has to be focused on the White Horse Inn.
- Please note: ideas count in the evaluation of your movie, not the professional quality, it’s all about creativity!
- Length/Size: min. of 30 seconds – max. of 3 minutes (up to 200MB file size)
- Deadline for entries via upload onto our homepage: January 31st 2010
- How will the movies be judged? First via the YouTube community after the competition closes (February 1st until February 28th). The top rating entries will then be evaluated by an internal White Horse Inn jury for the places 1-10.
- Announcement of winners: will take place Saturday March 6th 2010 on our homepage. All winning entries will be contacted personally.
The latest news and newest uploaded videos as well as the possibility to start interesting conversations can be found at the White Horse Inn Blog and the Facebook fan page and of course at the White Horse Inn YouTube channel.

- Please upload your finished movie via the online form at our homepage under: www.weissesroessl.at/gewinnspiel. You can also enter more information about your clip, the production and your idea next to your contact details.
- Once you have uploaded your entry, the White Horse Inn host will take a look. Once it has been checked it will be uploaded to the White Horse Inn YouTube channel, where you will find your movie after a short delay under: www.youtube.com/user/WeissesRoessl.
- Your registration with YouTube is not essential for entering the White Horse Inn movie contest. Therefore everyone can check out the previously entered movies.
- To guarantee a fair evaluation for all movie entries, the clips can be evaluated and rated only from January 1st 2010 at the YouTube Channel (See below)
- The final deadline for uploading your entry is February 31st 2010 at midnight.
- From 1.2.2010 until 28.2.2010 the movies are made available for rating. The highest rated entries will then be judged by the internal White Horse Inn jury for the spots of 1-10. The winning entries are announced on Saturday, March 6th 2010 on our website. The winners will also be contacted personally.
- Important: Please only use copyright-unrestricted material (pictures & sound). We cannot be liable for any copyright infringements. On our homepage you will find a lot of material which you can gladly use for download and to enter into our movie competition.
- All participants agree that we are allowed to use their entries for advertising purposes and publish their movie entries to our YouTube Channel.
