For decades, we've been aware that we owe our existence to the sheer beauty of the region. The Hotel im Weissen Rössl on Lake Wolfgang is surrounded by the pristine nature of the Salzkammergut and is located on the shore of the picturesque Lake Wolfgang. We do everything in our power to preserve the Salzkammergut.

Your hostess, Gudrun Peter, is justifiably proud of the legendary hotel's unique setting. Acting responsibly towards nature is a matter of course here. The family-run business focuses on sustainability across the board; after all, the owner are keen to preserve what makes this paradise so special for future generations. A sustainable approach to tourism is a key factor in all decisions.
Sustainability and local resources are also a prime consideration at our wellness SPA at the lake. It goes without saying that the water is as pure as can be. The lake pool, which is heated to 30°C all year round, and the world's first floating jacuzzi at 37°C are operated using heat pumps, which generate the required energy in an environmentally friendly way.
Sourcing materials as locally as possible is another element of the sustainable approach to which Gudrun Peter is so committed.
Original and authentic
The food prepared in the hotel kitchen is mainly locally grown and produced. Most of the hotel staff come from the immediate vicinity. The Hotel im Weissen Rössl thus plays an important role in the local economy, and consciously promotes sustainability and a regional focus.

Since 2014, the Romantik Hotel Im Weissen Rössl has offered exactly what electric car owners need: all our guests can recharge their electric vehicles in the hotel garage as much and as often as they like.
We believe that electric transport is key to our efforts towards a greener future. At the Romantik Hotel Im Weissen Rössl on Lake Wolfgang, we're moving with the times and actively helping to preserve our wonderful region.
The new Dittlbachhaus staff building, which was completed in 2020, is a timber construction equipped with air/water pumps and solar panels, which generate electricity for the whole building. The excess current is used to heat the water in the building. The Dittlbachhaus has 7 apartments and 17 rooms for our employees.
