Start your journey of exploration through the caves in Obertraun, close to Hallstatt on Hallstätter See. Travel up to Schönbergalm with the Dachstein funicular and take in the impressive scenery before starting your guided tour of the Dachstein Ice Cave and Mammoth Cave. After walking for roughly 10–15 minutes, you will reach the entrance to the Dachstein Ice Cave, which has been open to visitors since 1913.
