Since autumn 2012, the rustic Fishing Lodge 7.5 km from the Romantik Hotel Im Weissen Rössl has been a fine-dining destination in its own right. Enjoy delicious char from the hotel's own fish farm in the Salzkammergut

There are 3 fish ponds around the Fishing Lodge of the Romantik Hotel Im Weissen Rössl. Plentiful char, also known as “Alpine salmon” (Salvelinus alpinus), cavort there. These char can weigh up to 2 kg. Their flesh is a delicate pink and especially rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids and omega-3. They're delicious, and healthy to boot!

Rössling – the Rössl char, a delicious fish

The Rössling is our own specially farmed char. This delectable fish is reared in the Russbach valley. It takes over two years of expert care and careful organic feeding – with no added chemicals – before the fish can be prepared and enjoyed.

Only natural ingredients are used in our char dishes. The salt water in which the Rössling is reared gives it its flavour; the culinary prowess of the staff at the Hotel Im Weissen Rössl does the rest.
