Not only the fantastic Dachstein West ski area connects the ski resorts of Gosau, Russbach and Annaberg, but also the 44 km long "Dachstein Tour" ski circuit. Enjoy the breathtaking view of the Dachstein massif on gentle turns, the Panoronda, a so-called panoramic ski circuit, makes every skier's heart beat faster! And thanks to the numerous rustic ski huts, culinary delights are always provided along the way.
Family-friendly ski area in the Salzkammergut
Do you want to experience unlimited skiing fun with your loved ones on your winter vacation? Then the Dachstein West ski area is the right place for you. The panoramic ski area on the Dachstein massif offers the right ski slopes for young and old alike.
Ski beginners can test their skills in one of the four children's ski areas in Gosau, Russbach and Annaberg. Whether in Fredy-Land, Zwisi-Land, Bären-Camp or Fuxi's Kinderland. The ski equipment you need can easily be rented at the valley stations of the cable cars. The experienced skiers among the little ones can practice their turns in the Ötscher Kids Park right next to the Ötscher lift or in the Rookie Park at the Hornbabylift.
Fun parks, mogul pistes & ski races on the Dachstein
Professionals looking for adventure on skis will find the perfect conditions to put their skills to the test in the numerous mogul and fun parks such as the "Wilde Heide" with a 67% gradient. Challenging obstacles and lines in the Funpark Dachstein West below the Edtalmbahn cable car provide a thrill in the snow. Just like the former Austrian ski racer, everyone can now practice the giant slalom in record time on the "Marcel Hirscher" race course: speed measurement included, of course. This guarantees fun in the snow for everyone!
Ski tour & snowshoe trail in the Dachstein West ski area
A simple but impressive ski tour and a magical snowshoe trail are also waiting to be explored off-piste: the Atomic Backland ski touring route and snowshoe trail no. 1 "Dachsteinblick".
The Atomic Backland ski touring route takes you through fantastic snow-covered landscapes and offers fantastic views of the Dachstein. The approximately 3.6 km long ski tour covers 630 vertical meters and takes around 1.5 hours, making it ideal for beginners. Afterwards, the well-deserved descent leads back down to the valley on a groomed piste.
Snowshoe trail no. 1 "Dachsteinblick" starts and ends at the mountain station of the 8-seater Panorama Jet Zwieselalm and stretches over 2.2 km. A whopping 1580 vertical meters are covered on the trail, which takes around 1.5 hours. Beginners can also try out snowshoes here first. The absolute highlights along the way are the views of the Gosaukamm, the Dachstein glacier and the summit of the high Dachstein.
Relax after skiing at Lake Wolfgangsee
